8 Crazy Nights of Freebies & Bargains for Freelance Writers

Carol Tice

8 Crazy Nights of Freebies & Bargains for Freelance Writers - Makealivingwriting.comNo matter what holiday you celebrate this time of year, I’m here to make it a festive season for you.

Since I celebrate Hanukkah – which this year, starts tonight – I’ve decide to create my own online festival of light for writers, by bringing you a series of free offers and super-cheap discount deals. There will be a different offer each day!

Hanukkah is a festival of light and miracles…of the freedom to worship as you choose, a theme that’s more relevant than ever this year. Of believing you can banish the darkness, even when all seems hopeless. I’m hoping to enlighten some writers and bring them some serious help over next 8 days. Because when you’re able to get free help and go from earning peanuts to earning real money…it truly is like a miracle. Right?

While I’m announcing this 8 Crazy Nights extravaganza here on a blog post, if you’re not a subscriber to this blog, you won’t see most of the rest of these offers including some of my best-ever bargains for freelance writers. They’ll only be going out on email. So if you’re not a subscriber, you might want to sign up now.

Ready? Let’s get rolling…

Night 1: Starting Small

In my family, small gifts traditionally came first during this holiday, so I’m starting with one small free offer today.

Here it is: The first 18 commenters on this post will receive a free, 1-month pass to Freelance Writers Den (a $25 value).

(Note: If you’re already a Den member, this isn’t the freebie offer for you – stay tuned for more goodies!)

If you’ve always wanted a peek behind the curtain inside my exclusive membership community, here is your chance to head on in. Take a bootcamp, grab a sample contract, or ask a question on the forums.

How will it work? I’ll round up the first 18 emails from the comments below and forward them over to my tech team. They’ll be in touch with your Den access info.

If you’re busy this holiday season, no worries – your 1-month pass actually activates on the day you decide to use it and log in. Then, you’ve got 30 days to explore our resources, which include 300+ pieces of audio/video/contracts/scripts/templates/price guides and more.

When 18 comments have posted below, you can assume the free tickets are gone. I’ll post a comment and confirm that, too, when it happens.

That isn’t all the free stuff that’s included in my 8-day celebration, either. It’s just the beginning. Got a couple other offers to tell you about, too…

Free live coaching call + replay

Yes, this Tuesday, Dec. 8 at 11 Pacific / 2 Eastern, I’ll be taking any and all questions about how to earn well as a freelance writer in a live event — absolutely free. And I’ll be sending out the recording to my subscribers at the end of this festival of giving, next Sunday.

Participation info and that replay link are *only* going out via email to my blog subscribers…so subscribe to attend. (And if you’re already a subscriber, check your email — already sent you the details.)

Note: Nothing is for sale on this call. There is no hidden agenda I’m going to spring on you. Just a full hour of practical tips and coaching to say ‘thank you’ to my awesome subscribers.

Essay contest on Facebook

Would you like to win a bundle of all my offers during this 8-day season of giving? Then bring your best 200-word max, uplifting, enlightening essay to the Make a Living Writing Facebook page and post it on the “Contest: Bring Us Light” thread.

This contest will be running all week, until the last night of Hanukkah, on Sunday, Dec. 13. I’ll declare a winner at 5 p.m. Pacific time (so I can head off and light my menorah!).

To enter, post your essay, like the page, and share the post with your Facebook friends. Yes, likes for your essay *will* be a judging factor, so spread the word once you’ve posted! Full instructions and details on the prizes (including $350 worth of goodies for the grand prize winner!) are on the post over on Facebook.

I’m hoping we’ll get a stellar set of uplifting mini-essays in this contest and spread a lot of holiday-season light and joy. Post a success story, a confidence-builder, an inspiration you recently found. I can’t wait to read your entry!

How are you bringing light to this holiday season? Tell us in the comments below – and win a free month in Freelance Writers Den. (And remember to subscribe to get in on all 8 days of special deals and freebies.)
